Kapil Minz an SSC pass out hails from a large and economically backward family from Odisha. He is the only educated person and the bread earner of his family; hence had to quit his education at high school. With the aim of being an self employed entrepreneur, he enrolled into a Cell phone repair course. Upon successful completion, he had set up his own kiosk and was earning about Rs 5000 per month. After an accidental interaction with our Vidya Help Line team in Bhubaneshwar, he came to know about photography courses. Photography always interested Kapil and was quick to grab this opportunity. He equipped himself with more info from the counselors, pursued the course and completed it successfully. He bought cameras from his personal savings and now covers events like marriages and function as a professional photographer. Besides running a cell phone repairing kiosk, he is now a photographer too and his gross monthly income is around Rs 12,000. Most importantly he works on something that interests him and also makes money in the process. VHL wishes him good luck and hopes to see his story inspire many such individuals.
